The world’s hottest spots for hot food, drinks and dining

DELHI: The world is buzzing over the hottest new hot spots in the Indian capital, Delhi, as hot food and drinks are in high demand and the city’s most popular restaurants are also getting busy.

According to the Hot Food and Dining Report 2016-2017 by Hotels.com India, Delhi has the largest number of popular restaurants in India, with over 500 establishments, compared to about 120 establishments in New York, New Jersey, London, Dubai and Shanghai.

There are over 4,000 eateries in Delhi, compared with 2,600 in New Delhi and 1,900 in Mumbai.

Hotels.net India said that Delhi has one of the highest number of restaurants and bars in India with more than 15,000 locations.

The city has more than 9,000 bars, restaurants, and other businesses, it said.

There were almost 12,000 restaurants and 24,000 hot food outlets in Delhi compared with 11,500 in Mumbai, 4,800 in Hong Kong, 2,400 in Tokyo, 1,800 and 1 in Seoul.

There was a huge increase in food-drink sales, with almost 1,000,000 cases of food-related sales in Delhi in 2017, compared a year ago, the Hotels website said.

Hotel.com said it has recorded a number of major events for its website, including a major Chinese-themed restaurant launch in Mumbai last month.

It said that in a year’s time, the Indian government is expected to approve the sale of more than half a billion rupees (about US$2.4 million) worth of the luxury hotel units.

Hoters.com, a property management and property leasing company, said that the city is also expected to have the biggest number of luxury hotels by the end of the year.
