Fibro hot spot wildfire burning in Idaho

A fire burning in southern Idaho is moving to the top of the list of top 100 hot spots on the US list of most dangerous fires.

The National Interagency Fire Center said Saturday that the Rim Fire near Lake Tahoe is now No. 1 on the list.

The Rim Fire burned from mid-March to mid-June, threatening homes, livestock and buildings in a region of Idaho known for the country’s high temperatures and dry vegetation.

The center said the fire was still burning Friday evening and that it was about 40% contained.
