U.S. women’s hockey team to open season at Boston University

BOSTON (AP) The U.N. Women’s Hockey Team has opened its season at the University of Massachusetts Boston and the team announced Thursday that it has signed three players.

Bruno Gaudreau, Alex Tanguay and Lauren Watson are the first of three players to join the team for the 2018-19 season.

Tanguay, a left wing, will start the season with the Bruins, who won the first two games of the season.

She is the only member of the team who plays in the United States, but she is Canadian and was born in Canada.

Gaud, a center, was selected with the 10th pick of the 2016 NHL Draft.

The U.B. Girls’ team has four players in the lineup, and the two American-born players, Brooke Bower and Lauren Stapleton, were selected with second and third overall picks in the 2016 draft.

Boston University has the best record in the country and has the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.

The team will open the season against Boston University on March 9 at 4 p.m.
